A passion for pottery. Karen Townsend owner of Misty Ceramics, invites you to Pottery for Beginners, a one-day workshop which is a tactile, sensory experience, structured to be fun and creative, allowing our imagination to run wild during your tuition.

No prior knowledge or experience is necessary.
We will discover basic slab building, create a pinch pot, look at coil techniques, and learn how to apply surface patterns. Karen will take your completed work back to her home studio in Hill Head to be fired (bisque) glazed and then fired again.
This workshop includes one piece of clear glazed pottery which you can collect either from her studio or from the Porter’s Lodge Studio. Should you wish to have more of your creations glazed and fired there is an additional charge of £5 per lb fired weight to cover the cost of materials.
