HMS Queen Elizabeth (R08) One of the most powerful surface warships ever constructed in the UK, HMS Queen Elizabeth forms part of the Royal Navy‘s two-strong fleet of Queen Elizabeth Class aircraft carriers. I was asked by the Royal Navy Official Merchandiser to create an original print depicting her Maiden Voyage to New York from Portsmouth. The iconic buildings from each location are of course The Spinnaker Tower and the Statue of Liberty. This is the result and the Captain at the time for The Royal Navy Ship, Jeremy Kydd was presented with a limited edition print of "Big Lizzie On Tour" which to this day is hanging in the Captains Cabin. A limited edition print was also presented to the American Navy.
