Hairy Mermaid Original

Inspiration

A fantastic impact piece measuring 128cm by 98cm which includes a real white wood floating frame.
The Hairy Mermaid was inspired as I was "adopted" as an artist in a local exhibition by a hairdresser in Emsworth. I wanted something apt, and this is a beautiful fishing village by the coast.  So, a mermaid with luscious golden locks seemed just the ticket. Her golden hair has metallic paint and her scales also of green metallic paint. Always in my paintings are the pink seagull, here the cheeky little chappy is scuba diving alongside her. this is my second mermaid and I just love the mystique that follows them.

• Frame is a white 19mm 'revival style. 42mm rebate moulding. Subtle grain pattern
