This painting was a second commission for a customer. His work colleagues had a collection for him as he was leaving his work place to retire.

He brought to me a photograph which was a very grey sky, grey sea, grey path and grey seats! We had a chat, I needed to inject some colour into this very monotonal photograph! As he was retiring the sunset seem to be the obvious choice. The sunsetting on one aspect of his life... a new day dawns with his retirement.
